Danka, you were one of the greatest men i knew, you always were smiling, even at all those crazy parties we had were getting a little out of hand....i'll never forget the time just you and I had a few cocktails at camping...if Deb, and Dana didn't kill me then.....you were always there for your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren...it was will ask Danks...he'll know or he will help...You and Ann left a great legacy, that will carry you in their hearts forever. you have gained your wings to fly with the rest...or should say the best of them, say hi to Ann, Dave, My mom and dad and brothers and give my two little ones a big hug....John and I love you so much...RIP...Danks.. Love Gayle And JohnO...

Doug, Danka, Friend, you have been a major part of our lives from the days of you, Dave (Bumpy), and I raising hell and having many great times together...I will never forget. To the many family vacations, Friday nights at Daniel drive with the family and just being together on family occasions.
Your life and journey has not always been fair and or easy, foster care, entering the service at 15 ( under your brothers name)..the love of your life Anne..dying at an early age..and a portion of your golden years with health issues.
Through all this you still lived your life to the fullest possible, traveling to exotic islands with Arthur, parties with our friends and I do mean parties,to being a part of your families lives daily.
You have taught me and shown me, by example, many things and I am a better person for it. I have personally come to know you better over the past six years..and I have to say you are one of the most interesting and smartest people I know.
Our talks about the economy, business, history, family and general life were invaluable. Your substance over flash, your unconditional giving and caring, your doing over giving up and your zest for life were real.
I would always ask you for " words of wisdom" to live by and we would be off talking about many things...you have shown me what it is..." being the best person you can".
By my friend..you leave us better off for knowing you...and what a family you and Anne started !
PS: tell Bumpy and Anne we love them.

Dear Dad, Jim and I were so lucky to have had you in our home for as long as we did. It wasn't always easy for us or you but we hope the grandkids running around and having dinner with us every night are a happy part of your memories. Deb and I couldn't have had a better Dad, who taught us right from wrong, how to be loving and caring and the importance of family. I wish things could have been different over the years, especially losing Mom so early on and then being dealt with the terrible effects of Parkinsons. The last year wasn't the best for you and for that I am so sorry, I'm just glad we got to take you home before you left us. I miss you so much and take comfort in the thoughts of seeing you and Mom again someday! You and Mom had two daughters, who grew our family to a wonderful legacy of 7 grandkids and 16 beautiful great-grandkids!
WE love you and miss you!

It's never easy to say good-bye to a parent. In the end all we can do make them comfortable and surround them with love. Danka was blessed to have such a wonderful family that showered him with these gifts and allowed him to pass with the dignity all of our parents deserve. My sincerest sympathies to his family.
Love,
Sue

Dad you'll be missed dearly, you're not only a great parent, you're a great friend. We'll miss your dry sense of humor and your teasing. I'm glad you got to see all your Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren on Christmas Eve. I know you are where you want to be with Mom, Dave and all the others who went before. Now you are an "Angel" watching over us!
Love you and miss you so already!!!
