Maurya worked for IDX Corporation, a medical software company for 16 years. She then was asked to join the formation team of eScription – a company pioneering voicerecognition software for physicians. She helped build eScription from a fledgling start-up to a successful national company. Following its merger into Nuance Corporation, Maurya continued to work at Nuance as Director of HIM Implementation until her death. Maurya loved life and had an insatiable curiosity. She traveled extensively, loved games of any kind, played softball, golf and thoroughly enjoyed playing with and walking her dogs.
