Chief Scott was my father's Captain at Engine 5. He was a good friend and teacher, with my father attributing much of his early learning to Captain Scott. Later, Chief Scott's direction and leadership provided a solid foundation for my father to assume the command in 1991. Our family remains most grateful for Chief Scott's presence, despite his own ailing health, at my father's funeral service in June, 2013,
On behalf of the entire Fitzgerald family, please accept our condolences on the loss of your beloved husband, father and grandfather.

To Mrs. Scott and family
We are all sadden to learn of Tom's passing. He was a great friend to our parents. We have fond memories of the "social" times at our house and the stories of the gang at the Red Jacket and elsewhere. Our Dad was blessed to have Tom as a fellow fire fighter and dear friend. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
