Joyce, I am so glad for the many wonderful years you spent with Ted, whose resume is so impressive. Enjoyed seeing you again at Bob and Peg McDonald's last summer. Hope we have a few more afternoons in Maine like that one.

I played for Coach Rose in 1987-88 season at Chaminade College Prep; he was an outstanding and consummate practitioner of the game. Without a doubt, his superb tutelage on the gridiron and off , was immeasurable. I'm sad to hear only now of his recent passing. He will be fondly remembered, if only for the one year I had the opportunity to play for him. He sponsored my award for the Brian Piccolo scholar athlete before my graduation. In a time of the radical zeal of Dade and Broward County football of the late 80's, he instilled quiet confidence in his mastery of the Deleware Wing T offense. I'm sad that I couldn't have told him about the Man and Physician I've become. Please extend my warmest greetings to his wife and family.
Sincerely,
Dr. Edward McCollum Stellmacher MD

My sincere condolences to the family of Ted Rose, jr. I knew Ted as a young boy. He and his parents lived behind me on Johnson Ave Medford. We had many a good times together. I was at Oak Grove cemetery today to give palms to my parents, brother and his wife's grave. I knew that the Rose grave is across from my parents and to my amazement I saw that Anne had passed, for the flowers were still there. Now I am shocked to learn that Ted has passed. If I knew I would have payed my respects. I know that the sickness Ted endured must have been a painful one to all of you. I have had two dear friends that passed from that disease. Some day I hope they find a cure. My heart and prayers go to Ted and his family. Rest in peace friend, Robert S.
