Obituary of Andreas Calpouzos

Andreas “Andy” Calpouzos proud owner of Brother’s Pizza at Four Corners in Woburn, passed away at his home after a battle with cancer. He was 61 years old. Andy was born in Athens, Greece where he worked hard to support his Mother and Brother. At the age of 25, he made a life changing decision to immigrate to the United States. He met Denise Driscoll and they married and settled in Millbury to start a family. Andy first owned Grafton Pizza, and then purchased Brother’s Pizza in Woburn 23 years ago. He put his heart and soul into his business to provide a better life for his family. He had many loyal patrons who he thought of like family. Andreas was a loving husband to his wife, Denise for 37 years. They enjoyed traveling to Aruba, family get-togethers and visits back to Greece to visit family and childhood friends. He was a loving, supportive and encouraging father to his children. He would spend hours tending to his garden, enjoyed deep sea fishing, Google Earth, and educating his children on the importance of Greek Mythology! Andy found the American Dream of prosperity and success, achieved through hard work and lived selflessly. Andy was the loving husband of Denise (Driscoll) Calpouzos of Burlington. He was the loving father of Vasilia “Vaso” of Salem, NH, Christina of Waltham, and Dimitrios of Woburn. He was the son of the late Vasilia Calpouzos and brother of the late Fragis Calpouzos. He was the dear cousin to the Fragis' and Vazos' families of Greece. He was the brother-in-law of Donna &quote;Sissy&quote; Driscoll of Roslindale and Thomas and Elza Driscoll of CO. He was the beloved Uncle Andy to Susan, Brandon, Nick, Julia, Rylee and Sydney. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Thursday, Aug. 28 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Concluding with a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
