Fern and I volunteered for Travelers Aid at Logan Airport. In later years we would meet occasionally for a meal or a brunch at a friend's home. She gave people her full attention. . Also, Fern and I would walk with Elaine and Judy to the temple at Passover. I learned about some of interests- church, family history, travel, etc. but I learned more while reading her obituary. I am glad I was able to go to the memorial service and meet family members and friends. Fern- my memory of you will always be with me.

How to describe Fern?
I am Co-Lead a Group @ Out-Patient Psych, called "Crafting to Better Health".
Fern, joined our Group about 3 years ago. This Woman, was shy at first, but then her personality came out.
Fern rarely missed a meeting, except when her health prevented her.
Fern, spread Pixy Dust everywhere she went, with her laughter, smiles, sharp wit & wisdom.
She was generous, with het thoughts and emotions, most of the time she had us laughing through the hour.
At first Fern was hesitant in learning a new craft, but with encouragement she succeeded, I was very proud of her.
We would have lunch together, her favorite was Tomato, Mozzarella & Pesto on a roll, rarely varying.
Fern & I would go the museum, those times I will always remember, seeing the great exhibits, having a nice lunches with good conversations & laughter.
Besides her crafts, Fern had a passion for her heritage, tracing her ancestors back many generations, T
his took many hours and lots of patience, which Fern had in abundance.
She loved telling us about her many trips with and without her mother to the , Museums, movies and all the activities in Boston, Hyannis & New York.
She shared her love of reading and pass on books and ideas of reading material to the others.
Fern, feared nothing, she was brave, in-spite of her limitations. She would walk a little slower than normal, take sit down brakes in between to reach her goal.
I teased her about her Campbell Soup Kids cheeks, which started her in roaring laughter.
Fern's passion was JP Licks ice-cream. One of our members, joined Fern in a dish a week before Surgery, they had a great time.
We will always think of Fern every time we see a JP Licks sign.
We will all miss this women, she has left a big hole in our hearts.
We will always remember her smiling face, her beauty inside and out, her wit & her laughter.
God Bless, you Fern for touching all our lives ad making life a little better.

Fern's passion, laughter, wit, wisdom, and caring nature, will always be remembered.
JP Licks, will always be remembered as Fern's favorite outing.
Lets go and have a hot fudge sundae!

I met Fern around 1996 when we attended the United Methodist Church of All Nations. We have shared so many great movies, great meals and great conversations. We got together at least twice a month all these years and supported each other during difficult times. Fern was supportive, caring, understanding and, yes indeed, had a devilish wit. For several years we had memberships to the Huntington Theatre and attended four plays per season preceded by dinner. It was Fern's idea and I thoroughly enjoyed our nights 'on the town'. Fern was an inspiration to me in her dealings with health issues. She tried her best to keep on keeping on through all adversities. My life has been richly blessed by knowing Fern all these years and I miss her tremendously. Gods speed my dear friend.

Fern was a very good friend to me. I met Fern at Boston Harbor Community Church formerly Boston Worship Center. We became friends. We would read historical books. Then we would get together and discuss them over lunch or dinner. We read like a small book club of two. Fern was a great, kind and Christian person. I enjoyed our friendship. She will be greatly missed by me and all who knew her.

I met Fern when my friend Beverly volunteered with Fern at Travelers Aide at the airport. They did this for 5 years. I met her from time to time over the years at different events. She seemed a very kind person and a vital person interested in helping out others less fortunate. From reading her obituary, I know her life was a beautiful one. God bless all of Fern's loved ones.

You will be truly missed. I will always remember you...espesially the day I took you to breakfast after church. We sat outside under the trees at one of my favorite restaurants. It was wonderful, I got to know what an amazing person you truly were. May you rest in peace Fern, you are now sitting next to Jesus at his table having breakfast.
