Maurice “Jim” Proulx, passed away at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. The beloved husband of 48 years of Louise (Marinelli) he was 70 years old. Jim was born in Manchester, NH. He was the son of the late Peter & Yvonne Proulx. Jim was known for his calm demeanor and kind personality. He was a lifelong carpenter and handyman, attended the Waltham School System, and was a longtime resident of Burlington. As a lover of music, his radio could be heard playing from his garage at all hours of the day and night while he worked on his wood projects. He loved the outdoors, his garden, and camping with his family. He married his childhood sweetheart and passed away on their wedding anniversary. Jim was beloved husband of 48 years of Louise (Marinelli). He was the loving father of David & his wife Mary-Jon of Bowling Green, OH and Jeff & Anabela of Waltham. Brother of Roger & his wife Kathy of Watertown, Jeanne Johansen & her husband Jon of IL, and the late Denise Lundy & Getty Shutt. Son-in-law of the late Antonio & Theresa Marinelli. Brother-in-law of Ann Marinelli of Waltham, and the late Louis Marinelli. Proud grandfather of Maya, Adam, Isaac, Alexia and Nicholas. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church, 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
