How lucky you are the have had a wonderful man in your lives. With our deepest sympathy, Bill and Nancy

Don was the consummate military professional. I had many interactions with him over the years, both professionally and socially. I could always count on him for straight, accurate information. We have lost a fine soldier. His family has lost a wonderful human being.

Uncle Donald was a smiling, pleasant fixture in my summer memories of Maine...from the time I was a kid until two years ago. Always came to see him, no matter what age, for a good conversation on history and military affairs. He was the calm in the storm of McCuish (crazy/fun/Italian) chaos. I am really going to miss him. Michele and I send our thoughts out to the entire family- especially Aunt Patricia.

Remember all the good time we all had over the years, here in Mass in Maine. He had a good long life and enjoyed it up until he got sick. Now he is at rest and peace, no longer in Pain which is the most important thing right now.
God Bless all of you for all you've done for him and your mother during these last few days and weeks. I am sure he was aware of it.
The rest of the family offer our sympathy and support during the next weeks. Please allow us to help you when you need it!!
Love to you all, Auntie El

To Don's Family: You can be very proud of a Don who was a very sincere and honest individual. I had the honor of serving with Don in the National Guard and he was a person that I could always go to and receive the correct information. His humor and wit did not go unnoticed.
