Scott- I know you can somehow read all the wonderful comments about you and I can't thank everyone enough for all the thoughtful comments. I remember how heartbroken you were when we started dating in November, 2004 when your mom was battling cancer and it's hard to believe 10 years later, you lost the same battle. Thank you for all the love you gave me. Through good times and bad, we were always there for each other. You are in my heart forever. May you rest in peace with your mom, Jody and other loved ones. Until we meet again......All my love, Lynn

Scott was my very first boy friend !! He was very charming and a pleasure to be around. I can't remember a single day that he didn't have a big smile on his face or that silly giggle of his. I am so sorry for his wife Lynn and Scott/Danielle who I had the pleasure of meeting again as grown-ups at his fundraiser.
Mr. MacKenzie (Ron) loosing the last of your family my heart aches for you and I pray for strength to be sent your way xo

My condolences to Scotts Family and to his father Ron who was part of the Spruce Hill Neighborhood where I also grew up. It Breaks my heart to hear of Scotts passing. He is one of the MANY in the neighborhood who has passed from one form of cancer or another. Scott was a great kid growing up as was Jody. They will be missed by so many, including myself. I remember summers playing kickball, and softball and swimming in the MacKenzie Pool!! That was LONG AGO. I knew Scott was sick and cancer is such a tough fight, and he did his best for his family. Scott is out of pain and reunited with his Mom(Jan) and his sister (Jody). I will keep my memories of the MacKenzie Family with me forever.
Respectfully,
Jodi (Meserve) Race

Ron: we are in Key West but just read about Scott in the Globe. We are so very sorry. We know that you were preparing yourself for this, but that you can really never succeed in that. Cherish the wonderful memories that you have of better days. Our hearts are with you even though we can't join you on this sad occasion. Sue & Bob

We are sorry to hear that Scott lost his battle with cancer. He fought that disease with so much courage and strength, just like his mom and sister. May God Bless Scott and may he finally rest in peace.
