I was so sorry to hear of Katrina's passing. The day we met was September 11, 2001, when she was at Vassar. She was hosting me for a presentation I was conducting for an activist organization, and I remember being so impressed by her passion, intelligence and charisma. I've often thought of her fondly over the years, though we were not in touch. The world is a better place for her having been in, for the mark she left on it, and she'll be remembered well.
