My heartfelt condolences to the family. I was so saddened to hear the news that your Dad had passed and I will miss seeing him across the street. I know he is with your mother now, at peace, and in a much better place. I have one of his last tropical plants which he brought over last Spring and I look forward to seeing it bloom this summer and will think of him with Love.
God Bless,
Charlotte

In retrospect, Burlington truly functioned as a "village " thanks to the many parents from so many diverse areas with one goal in mind.Along the way in fulfilling that goal ,many very happy memories were made. Peter and Jean were another couple that were "community parents." Being there for so many Burlington youth and contributing endlessly and cheerfully to the numerous fund raising events that are such a necessary part in raising a village. The most precious being the hours of their life they voluntarily gave .Peter and Jean will always remain in the memories of so many youth and those of us who still cherish the good times . What a precious legacy to leave for your children and grandchildren. .

I look back with fond memories of my time in Babe Ruth baseball serving alongside Peter. There wasn't anything he would not do to provide for the best possible experience for the kids involved in youth baseball and football - from securing the lights for the high school field (a donation from Boston College) to spending time getting a field in playable condition after a heavy rain. I always enjoyed talking with him and am saddened our paths around town will not cross again. My condolences to his family and friends. He was a class act who will be missed.

Kelley, Keri, and Brian,
I was very sad to hear of Pete's passing. His suffering is over and he's now with Jeannie. Pete was a big influence on my life through my turbulent teenage years. I will always remember the advice he gave me regularly while sitting at the O'Toole kitchen table about life, hard work, taking care of family, etc. and always with a hilarious spin to it. But he always made sure he got his point across. Pete sponsored me to take the plumbers apprentice exam and also was a sounding board when I decided to enter the military, always providing great advice. I also know that I am not unique as he treated all of his children's friends and kids he coached over the years as an "extension" of his family and was loved by all! He was a Great role model for anyone who wanted to know the blue print for being an outstanding Husband, Father, Coach, and mentor.

Lucy and Desi, Stiller and Meara, Sonny and Cher, Bogart and Bacall...And then there was Peter and Jean. They were a team, whether it was sports, shopping, Hampton Beach or just meeting you in a parking lot to stop and share some laughter. They were full of love, full of laughter and it was very contagious. Not many remember that it was Peter who engineered getting lights up on the original Brush Field. Many games were played under the lights that he made happen. Many Burlington cheerleaders got their start as young girls under the leadership of Jean. Their love and laughter story will now continue somewhere over the rainbow...
