I just found out about Clair's passing. I met her when, I was just turning 12 years old, her son Paul is my best friend. Paul and I planned at this age, and stuck with it, whoever died first, the other would get the others fav stuffed animal. Paul's being a stuffed cat and mine being Thumper the Disney rabbit. Clair was like my Mom, she was always there for me when anything happened, that, was just too much for me to take. I will always love her as my Mom and dearest friend. I'm so sorry Bobby for your loss, she was one of a kind. I will always be proud to say I know her and spent so much quality time with her. Even as I got older, she would ask me for help with some crazy thing Paul had gotten himself into. I was more than pleased to help. Paul was a handful! I remember I became an expert at catching Crimson, her pure white cat she loved so much, when he'd escape out the side door and up the tree. He was an indoor cat. She made sure even her cat was safe at all times. I loved sleeping over there with her and Paul. Clair made everyone feel like it was home. I know I did. She kept a cabinet for Paul and I that, she made sure was always stocked with Doritos, that just came out on the market, Paul and I had never heard of them but Clair, found my new favorite food! Also, she made sure my cabinet was filled with 32 oz Coke A Cola bottles, all the things that even my own parents didn't know I liked...Devil Dogs, Funny Bones, etc. I love her so much! I and my Daughter Lauren were so lucky to have known her. She will be forever missed. Our hearts have a hole in them that will always be there, Clair took it with her when she passed away. What a wonderful and amazing Woman Clair is. So many great memories of Clair, I can't think of one bad one. Clair was always the Mom I wanted and that's because, she was such a loving soul. My you Rest In Peace my Dearest Clair. You will always be loved and terribly missed.

I will not mourn Claire's passing for she has suffered enough in the past year with her health declining, she is now at rest no more suffering. What I do though is celebrate her life and what she gave to those she loved. It is a time to remember Claire in the special ways she may have touched your life. Life has a beginning, a middle and an end in the physical sense but life after death never ends and she will be in your hearts forever. Amen
God took Claire in his arms the day she left because he needed another Angel. Love to Bob, Heather and Dick, she is watching over you

A Profile in Courage
The human spirit never ceases to amaze me. Case in point--out friend Claire.
Suffering a horrendous loss of her youngest son Patrick she continued on taking care of the family.
When George needed medical assistance, Claire was there 24-7 for many, many years with never ever a complaint. The heavy hammer of life struck again with the loss of George and son Paul within hours of each other.
How does one pick themselves up after such a tragedy.
Look back on the life of Claire Harvey and find the answer--AProfile in Courage.
God Speed Claire. Rest in Peace.
