Obituary of Gloria Claire Harvey

Gloria Claire (McAvoy) Harvey, a resident of Burlington for 57 years, passed away at Woodbriar of Wilmington on Wednesday evening, February 25, 2015. The beloved wife of the late George, she was 80 years old. Gloria was born in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Effie McAvoy. Gloria devoted her life to providing a wonderful home for her husband George and their three sons. Gloria and George enjoyed going on camping trips as a family when the children were young. They were avid traveling visiting such destinations as St. Thomas. There favorite place to visit was Bermuda where they visited on 7 separate occasions. Gloria will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Gloria was the beloved wife of the late George Harvey. She was the loving mother of Robert Harvey of Burlington and the late Paul and Larry. Proud grandmother of Heather Harvey of North Reading. Dear friend of Dick Freeman of Burlington. A visitation will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 10:00 a.m. Concluding with funeral services at 11:45 a.m. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
