To my "Chippy", "Bunny", "Weeny", "Boo Boo", "Baby Girl", and my BEST FRIEND....it has been exactly 1 week since you were tragically taken from us. As I cry for you, I can't help but crack a smile between the tears when I think of our time together. You were gorgeous inside and out! We would drive 3 hours to Maine and hold hands the ENTIRE ride talking about our plans for when we were lucky enough to move there together get a dog and enjoy the simple life. We cooked alongside rivers on campfires, and she loved to sit on my parents dock and fish for hours with my nephew Brendan even when the fish weren't biting! We found a house we loved that she often referred to as "our house".... even though we didn't own it, but that was the plan. When sleeping she would roll over and say " I love you Bubba" which I would reciprocate using one of my many pet names I had for her. My family, my friends, myself and all who knew her loved her dearly! We attended the "Maine Blues Festival" in Naples every year, and enjoyed freshly brewed "Bray's Hoppy Blonde" a delicious beer that signified that summer was finally here...it also went great with our Bison burgers that Ash adored!!! And as for the rest...........the rest I'm gonna keep for us. I will love and miss you forever Babe, till we meet again----Bubba xoxoxo

My heart is hurting for everyone who knew Ashleigh, but especially the family. Her voice has been in my head all week. Although we didn't see each other much in the past few years, everytime I saw Ash it was as if nothing changed and she would be her typical quirky self. What I would do to hear "Hi Court!" one more time. Whenever my family would go to Newtowne, they would ask me if my "cute little friend" was working because she was always such a joy to have as a server. To say she will be missed is an understatement. Rest in the sweetest peace, beautiful angel. XOXO

Dear Snelson Family,
Dorothy and I are deeply sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain and suffering you are going through in losing Ashleigh. Ed and I were exchanging stories of last summer and Ed introduced me to Fireball Whiskey. He mentioned he and Ashleigh would on a occasion talk at night and partake in a shot of Fireball. Well, I payed a sollute to Ashleigh by having a shot in her memory. She is with the greatest creator of all now. God bless her and may she forever be at peace!!

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die

My husband and I are frequent customers at the Newtowne Grille. She would smile that fabulous-so-good-to-see-you smile of hers. From the first time we met her years ago, we LOVED her. We cannot even image the grief and suffering her parents and family are experiencing right now. Please know that you are all in our prayers. We are devastated! She was such a beautiful, wonderful, FUN person. She was an old soul with a heart of gold. She was a gift to anyone who ever met her. When I heard about the accident, I started praying it wouldn't be her. I would not believe it till I saw her picture. She will always live on in the hearts of all of her customers. So sorry for your loss. May the Good Lord pull you through this. With deepest sympathy.

Ashleigh was a truly special person who brought joy and happiness to everyone she came in contact with. I always told her how I admired her great diligence and work ethic. I cannot even begin to comprehend the pain of this great loss has inflicted on her friends and family. Heaven has gained a new angel but its cost was this world losing a bit of its warmth and light with her passing. Cherish the wonderful blessing of her life and the magic that she bestowed, and look to the day when you reunite in heaven. Rest in God's hands little angel.

As so many others have said, we knew Ashleigh from the Newtowne Grille. She was one of the number one reasons why my husband and I go there every week. Ashleigh always met you with a smile and was able to put a smile on your face! She had a great personality, such a vibrant, bubbly, upbeat person. If she was like that at work, I can only imagine how great a daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt she was to her family. She will be missed by so many. Our deepest sympathy to Ashleigh's family.

What more can be written about Ashleigh that has not been already?
In 2009 Marie and I moved to Grove Street across from the Newtown Grill. Our first "eating out meal" was there.
Ashleigh welcomed us with her beaming smile, and even though we were taking advantage of the "Early Bird Specials", she made us feel that we were the only ones there, when in fact it was quite crowded.
Even now, we do not know whether we are fans of the Classic Newtown Burger, or that special "something" that Ashleigh brought to her guests.
We do not wish to detract from the grief and sadness of her passing, yet when we remember Ashleigh, remember her smile, her joy of life, a little of the light of her life enters ours, and we cannot help but smile through our tears.
Yes, a star has been taken from this earth, but if we look up into the clear night sky, perhaps, one of those twinkles just might be Ashleigh.
Rest in Peace Ashleigh
Marie and Alexander

Words cannot express how sorry we are. We met Ashleigh years ago @ Newtowne and she is one of a couple waitresses that we ask for when we came in. We always had so much fun sitting & talking with her, she seemed more like a friend and was even at a Pig Roast at our house. She would either stick her tongue out at us when saw us come in or would make a funny face. Her personality lit up the room, she was a spitfire. I was so glad that I picked up takeout Friday night, I got to give her a hug & kiss. I cannot imagine how difficult it will be to go back to the Newtowne for the 1st time. Everytime I hear Johnny Cash I will think of her. Rest in Peace Ashleigh, you will truly be missed.

Ash! She was such a little sweetheart. We were always joking and laughing with her. We all loved her. She was our Friend. We enjoyed lots of dinners, and special occasions with Ash at Newtowne. She was one of Logan's Buddies, she called him a little nugget. It was actually a week ago she pulled out her phone and pulled up old photos in her phone of my son Logan and she was saying how much he has changed and how big he was. She was our friend, we have enjoyed many conversations with Ashleigh. We were there for her and she was there for us. I will miss our chats together, her silliness, her smile, her converse sneakers. She was taken way to soon, Rest in Peace Ash, you will always be in our hearts. Love Always,

I had the great pleasure to call Ashleigh my friend. I met Ashleigh a few years ago as most people did at Newtowne. With her beautiful face and warm welcoming smile, who wouldn't come to love her? We would frequent the New Neighborhood hot spot. The first person we would always look for was Ashleigh. We knew if she was working, we would not only have a great time, but she would sit right down with us and fill us in on her latest stories and adventures, making our night enjoyable. She was in the right business, she was a people person. Everyone Loved her. We will ALL miss Ashleigh. My prayers are with her family. I am so sorry for your loss.

To the Snelson Family, our deepest condolences. We also met Ash at the Newtowne and over the years she became a friend. She truly was an "old soul". Her love and knowledge of older music was amazing! She was so smart, smarter than she gave herself credit for, helped us in trivia every Thursday night! She adored the little ones that would come into the Newtowne, I know a few little boys had crushes on her. She always told us about her nephews and niece, all her little munchkins that she adored. I never met her family but felt like I did from the pictures she showed us and was always talking about them. As a mother, I cannot imagine the pain you are going through. Please take some small solace in knowing she was loved very dearly by so many, brought sunshine wherever she went and will be missed for a long time to come. With a heavy heart, we say goodbye to one of the good ones!
